"Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth." – Psalm 46:10 (KJV)
In a world filled with constant noise, pressure, and uncertainty, Psalm 46:10 serves as a powerful reminder that God calls us to be still and trust in His sovereignty. Being still does not mean doing nothing—it means surrendering our worries, fears, and anxieties into the hands of a faithful God.
So often, we want immediate answers. We pray, but when we don’t see results right away, we grow anxious or try to fix things ourselves. However, the Lord’s timing is perfect. Waiting on God is not wasted time—it’s a demonstration of faith. It allows us to rest in the assurance that He is in control, even when we don’t understand the process.
God’s faithfulness is unwavering. From Genesis to Revelation, He has proven Himself over and over again. He never fails, never abandons, and never forgets His children. When we trust Him, we place our confidence in His wisdom, His love, and His divine plan—not our own limited understanding.
The call to "be still" is an invitation to let go and trust completely. It is in stillness that we hear His voice, receive His peace, and recognize His power at work in our lives. Trusting God means believing that His plans are greater than our own, even when we cannot see the full picture.
Today, choose stillness over striving. Choose faith over fear. Rest in the truth that God is in control, and in His perfect time, He will bring His promises to pass.
Be still and know that He is God.
