Miriam | “Corrected but Still Called”

Devotional – Day 3: Miriam | “Corrected but Still Called”

Scripture Reading:

“And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.”
— Numbers 12:15 (KJV)

🧎‍♀️ Devotional Thought:

Miriam was Moses’ older sister, a prophetess, and leader among the women of Israel. But in a moment of pride and frustration, she spoke out against Moses — and God corrected her with leprosy. It was a humbling experience. Yet the entire camp paused until she was healed and restored.

Maybe you’ve been on the other side of the hurt — the one who spoke out, criticized, or judged out of your own pain. Or maybe someone close to you wounded you with their words. Either way, God doesn't discard people for one failure. He disciplines to restore, not reject.

💭 Reflection Prompt:

Am I harboring pride, resentment, or jealousy in a family relationship? Where do I need to give or receive grace?

🙏 Prayer Prompt:

“Lord, thank You for loving me enough to correct me. Heal the parts of me that hurt others and help me to seek peace in my family relationships.”
